Federico García Lorca. Poetry and Music

09

January
9th of January, 2025 (Thursday) - 07:00 p.m.

Federico García Lorca was a musician before he became a poet. Through his neighbors and servants, ordinary people, he was in contact with the most authentic music of his land, as he recalled on numerous occasions. His relationship with music continued during his adolescence through piano studies. The songs collected by García Lorca have different origins, but the ones most authentically tied to his roots are the melodies he heard as a child in the atmosphere of Granada.
