In the emblematic León de Greiff Auditorium at the National University of Colombia, one of the country’s most significant venues for classical music lovers, the audience will experience a concert that reflects this edition’s metaphor: the dialogue between the universal soul of music and the body of national traditions. Violinist Aoife Ní Bhriain and harpist Catrin Finch will open the evening with a recital that moves between diverse languages and sensibilities, while the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra—longtime close collaborator of the Cartagena Festival of Music—will take over the second half with a program that traverses the Iberian Peninsula, the Slavic world, Russia, and Eastern Europe.
This concert thus becomes a privileged preview of the 20th Cartagena Festival of Music, offering Bogotá audiences a glimpse of the sonic journey that will mark the Festival’s 20th anniversary celebration.
