Biography

With 14 GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY awards, including Producer of the Year in 2022, more than 50 nominations, 15 songs at number one on the Billboard charts, and more than 10 ASCAP awards, it is clear that Julio Reyes Copello has left a profound mark on the Latin music industry.

For more than two decades, he has composed, produced, and recorded songs and albums for a wide range of renowned international artists, including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, Natasha Bedingfield, Nelly Furtado, Alejandro Sanz, Laura Pausini, Brian May, David Bisbal, and Alessia Cara, among many others.

He has also composed, arranged, and recorded the soundtrack for the acclaimed virtual reality experience Mars 2030, in collaboration with NASA, Fusion, and NVIDIA; conducted and recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra on four occasions; composed and produced the original soundtrack for Koati, an animated film produced by Sofía Vergara; and written the music for the American series Hawthorne, produced by Jada Pinkett and Will Smith.

In September 2021, he founded Art House Academy, an academy with an innovative educational model for the training of emerging artists. He also brought the first Abbey Road Institute in the Americas to the United States, where producers and engineers train in a real professional environment with cutting-edge technology, including the first Dolby-approved Atmos studio in Florida. In September 2022, the Institute’s first 10 graduates and 6 from the Academy, all signed to major record labels, were presented to the public.
