Biography

American pianist, composer and producer Natalie Tenenbaum is one of the most versatile and innovative musicians of her generation. Equally at home in classical music, jazz, contemporary composition and musical theatre, she has built an international career distinguished by artistic curiosity, stylistic freedom and exceptional musicianship.

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Tenenbaum creates music that seamlessly blends classical tradition, improvisation and contemporary sound worlds. As both performer and composer, she has appeared at many of the world’s leading venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Madison Square Garden, the Apollo Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Konzerthaus Berlin and the National Theater of Korea, among many others.

Her artistic collaborations span an extraordinary range of genres and disciplines. She has worked with internationally renowned artists including Lang Lang, Pentatonix, Tituss Burgess, Lea Michele, David Byrne, Tori Kelly and The 8-Bit Big Band, while also serving as Associate Music Director for NBC’s Maya & Marty. As a composer and arranger, she has contributed to Broadway productions including Mean Girls and American Utopia, alongside numerous theatre, film and multimedia projects.

An acclaimed recording artist, Tenenbaum’s work combines original compositions with imaginative reinterpretations of composers such as Bach, Debussy, Stravinsky and Liszt, reflecting her unique ability to bridge classical repertoire with contemporary artistic expression. Her performances have been praised by The New York Times for their brilliance, creativity and compelling musical imagination.

She has received numerous distinctions, including the BMI Jean Banks Award and the Harrington Award, and is a member of the prestigious BMI Lehman Engel Advanced Workshop. Her catalogue of compositions is represented by ASCAP, and she is an official artist for Nord and Yamaha.
