She was born in 1989. She began her cello studies at the age of eight with Maestro Henrik Zarzicky, who was her main teacher until 2007 in Bogotá, Colombia. Ana Isabel was an undergraduate student at the Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas and a master’s student at Carnegie Mellon University (Pennsylvania, USA) under the guidance of Anne Martindale-Williams.

During his career as a chamber musician, she has performed at the Cervantino Festival in Mexico, the National Theater of Costa Rica, the Iberoamerican Theater Festival of Bogota, the Renaissance and Baroque Music Festival of Chiquitos (Bolivia), the Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh (USA) and the Taos School of Music Chamber Music Festival 2010 (New Mexico, USA). As a member of the Unimúsica Quartet (2002-2008), the Starling Quartet (2008-2010) and the Chamber Music Society of Bogotá (2013-2016) she was winner of the First Prize of the 2005 EAFIT National Chamber Music Competition, and participated in the 2007 Stanford University Chamber Music Seminar as well as the 2009 Yehudi Menuhin Chamber Music Festival (California, USA).

Ana Isabel was also a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra (USA), the Philharmonic Orchestra of Minas Gerais (Brazil) and has performed as soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Cali, the New Philharmonic Orchestra and the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Bogota among others. In January 2014, Ana Isabel performed within the framework of the Cartagena 8th Music Festival of Cartagena as “Young Talent”. Currently, Ana Isabel is cellist of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota, the Arcieri Quartet, and cello teacher at the Juan N. Corpas University Foundation.
