Biography

Andrea Pellegrini was born in 1989, studied at the Conservatory “Arrigo Boito” in Parma, graduating in 2014.

 

From September 2016 until the summer of 2018 he was part of the “Center de Perfeccionament Placido Domingo” in Valencia at the Palau de les arts Reina Sofia where he debuted various roles including Bethune in I vespri siciliani, Gubetta in Lucrezia Borgia, Marchese in La traviata, Carceriere in Tosca, Publio in La clemenza di Tito, under the baton of Conductors such as Roberto Abbado, Fabio Biondi, Nicola Luisotti and directors such as Davide Livermore, Emilio Sagi, Sofia Coppola. He took part at Masterclasses of Placido Domingo, Mariella Devia, Marco Spotti, Sonia Prina, Enedina Lloris, Jaume Aragall, Manuela Custer, Roberto de Candia, Daniel Kotlinski. He also followed chamber music masterclasses with Roger Vignoles and Filippo Faes.

 

He sang Angelotti in Tosca, Fiorello in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Norton in La cambiale di matrimonio at the Teatro Regio in Parma and in Reggio Emilia, took part at several editions of Verdi Festival in La traviata , Falstaff, Simon Boccanegra, La forza del destino, and was the title-role in Re Lear at Teatro Regio di Parma. 

 

He sang in the opera by Francesco Cavalli Gli amori di Apollo e Dafne at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, and made his debuts in the main Italian Houses, singing Ernani and Les vepres siciliennes in Palermo, Pelléas et Mélisande in Parma and Piacenza, Don Carlo in Piacenza and Modena.

 

In 2022 he opened La Scala Season in a new production of  Macbeth, and since then he has sung in new productions of   Rigoletto, I vespri siciliani, again Macbeth and Fedora at Teatro alla Scala.
