Biography

A native of Balashov, Russia, pianist Artem Kuznetsov is an award winning concert pianist, a vivid chamber musician hailed for his artistry, virtuosity, lyricism and exciting energy; he is extensively performing solo recitals as well as collaborating with orchestras in major concert halls around the world. Moreover, through the partnership with musical organisations in the US he has been actively involved in musical outreach for under served communities as well as educational events for young musicians. He has been part of organisations and concert series that have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to charities including the “Multiple Sclerosis” society and “Direct relief Covid-19 response.” In 2020 he was appointed an Emissary of the Muses of the city of San Antonio by the Mayor Ron Nirenberg.

Mr. Kuznetsov has won multiple prizes in music competitions: the First Prize in the Ivanovka International Piano Competition, the International Music Fraternity Sigma Al- pha Iota, the Naftzger Young Artist Competition, the Seattle International Piano Com- petition, Young Texas Artists Music Competition and the Grand Prize at the eMuse International Music Competition.

He has also earned top prizes from the Gurwitz International Piano Competition, San Jose International Piano Competition, the Crescendo Music Awards Competition, the Wideman International Piano Competition, the San Antonio Young Artist Competition, the Dallas International Piano Competition, American International Competition and the Bendizky International Piano Competition in Russia.

Mr. Kuznetsov has performed in prestigious venues around the world. These include the Muziekcentrum Enschede, The Netherlands; Schloss Ettlingen, Asamsaal, Germany; Associazione Giosue Carducci, Como, Italy; Kaufman Center for the Performing Arts, Kansas City; Kennedy Center, Washington DC; Benaroya Hall, Seattle; Kimmel Center, Philadelphia. He has performed and collaborated with internationally acclaimed musi- cians such as Hans Graf, Desmond Hoebig, Aloysia Friedmann, Jon Kimura Parker, Lilit Gampel, David Radzynski, Chee-Yun, Julian Schwarz and Behzod Abduraimov.

Throughout his career he was a performing artist at several festivals such as the Tri- umph Music Festival in Philadelphia, the VI Festival “V Storonu Vyborga” in Russia, the XXVIII International Rachmaninoff Music Festival in Russia and the Orcas Chamber Music Festival.

Mr. Kuznetsov was featured in several radio stations in the US including the “Texas Public Radio” in San Antonio and “King FM” in Seattle. His biography is published in the book, “Gifted Children of Russia” 2004. His first LP on “Orpheus Classical” label was released on all the major streaming platforms.

He is actively involved in musical outreach for under-served communities, as well as ed- ucational events for young musicians. Mr. Kuznetsov’s major teachers include Stanislav Ioudenitch (Park University, Missouri) and Dr. Jon Kimura Parker (Shepherd School of Music, Rice University).
