Biography

Daniel Damaskinos was born in Corfu, Greece. He began his flute studies at the Philharmonic Society Mantzaros and continued under the guidance of Ria Georgiadi and occasionally William Dowdall. Supported by the Kiwanis Scholarship, he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, studying with Philippe Racine, Johanna Schwarzl, and piccolo with Pamela Stahel, graduating with honors.

Based in Switzerland, he maintains an international career as a soloist and chamber musician. Performances include appearances with the Corfu Symphony Orchestra in Trossingen, engagements throughout Greece, and work with the ZHdK Symphony Orchestra in Zurich. His concert and teaching activity spans China, Japan, Romania, Czechia, Ireland, and additional countries. He has collaborated with musicians such as Finghin Collins, William Dowdall, Elizabeth Perry, Niall Brown, Richard Wolfe, Petros Andreadis and more.
Damaskinos is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including twice at the Urs Rüttimann Competition in Athens and at the Young Musicians Competition in Corfu.

He maintains a strong presence on social media, where his technique-focused and precision-driven performance style has reached millions of viewers worldwide.
